Do you think you’ll still be blogging 10 years from now?
NaBloPoMo’s prompt for today asks, “Do you think you’ll still be blogging 10 years from now?” My answer, in short, is, “I certainly hope so.”
I don’t intend to stop blogging, even if I’m able to publish some of my books. Blogging is now a staple in my daily life. If I am…

Do you thrive under pressure or crumble at the thought of it? Does your best stuff surface as the deadline approaches or do you need to iterate, day after day to achieve something you’re proud of? Tell us how you work best.
I used to thrive under pressure, until it became a huge load of pressure; then I crumbled. After a couple of…

Describe yourself in a word that starts with the first letter of your name.
‘D’ is for? I used to would have said ‘dependable’, but that was back when I was a ‘doormat’. Now, that I’m no longer a ‘doormat’ for other people, I concentrate on ‘What I can ‘do’ and ‘What I want to ‘do’. I believe that ‘D’…

How has blogging changed your life? Tell us one thing that is different now than from before you started blogging.

The past weekend was great! My middle daughter, along with her five-year-old son and seven-week-old daughter, were visiting from Kentucky. On Saturday morning, my youngest daughter, and her seven-month-old son, came in from Georgia, and spent the weekend. I felt so blessed to have two of my daughters and three of my grandchildren for an entire…

I have been my ‘grandmotherly’ self all week. On Monday, my youngest grandson became ill, so I was called in to babysit for him, while mommy worked. I came back home on Wednesday night. On Thursday morning, our middle daughter came down from Kentucky, with her 5-year-old son and 7-week-old daughter; our youngest granddaughter.

What have you learned about yourself through blogging?
Blogging has given me self-confidence, a better ability to write, and a greater sense of the writing community. I have always known that I wanted to write, but blogging has helped me sift through different genres and different styles, until I found my own voice.
The generosity of other…

Traditions: we’ve all got ‘em. They might be family dinners on special occasions, or having a particular kind of cake on your birthday (Jeanne Cake, natch), or popcorn at the movies, or meeting your friend for a 5k run in the park, rain or shine, every Sunday morning. What are your favorite traditions, large and small? What is it about…

Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
A comfortable reading nook. It would have be a long one so that I can get all of my 6′ 4″ in there. :)
Would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?
I don’t watch much TV; mostly just the local weather. We have a TV…
